The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is an excellent initiative of the government of India. The scheme offers an internship of 1 year to financially poor youths aged 21 to 24 years of age in 500 famous companies in India. This way, there is a high chance for the youths to develop their skills along with their academic growth for the sake of employment. Industries like Hospitality and Travel, Automobile, Information Technology, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, etc. are part of this internship program.
The first stage of the internship was launched in October month in 2024. In this stage, there was a target that 1.25 lakh poor, young men and women would get the internship facility within five years.

Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: The Last Date of Application has been increased
The last date for the application of the PM Internship Scheme 2025 has been increased to 22nd April of this year. The previous deadline was 31st March. This new deadline will provide an extra time for more young people to apply for the internship opportunity.
Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: Eligibility Criteria
According to the desired criteria of the PM Internship Scheme 2025, only youths aged between 21 and 24 years are eligible to take part in the scheme. There are more than 37000 internship openings for Graduate Pass Candidates, more than 23000 openings for poor young people who have ITI certificates, more than 18000 internship opportunities for Diploma holders, and more than 25000 internship openings are offered to the 10th pass young men and women.
Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: Ineligible Candidates
Interested applicants should not be full-time students of an educational institution; they should not be preoccupied with a full-time job, and their family income, whether their own or that of their parents or of their spouse should not exceed 8 lakh in a year and none of his family members should be employed in Government sector.
Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: Documents to be submitted
The applicants have to submit some documents for hassle-free registration in the scheme. Those mandatory documents are government identity proof, like an Aadhar Card or Voter Card, or PAN Card; the latest certificate of the candidate that proves his academic qualification; one recent photograph of a passport size in the mentioned format; a good resume where the educational qualification of the candidate, his skills, whether he is a fresher or has work experience- all these will be mentioned clearly and an age-proof certificate- either birth certificate or school-leaving certificate.

Under the scheme, every applicant will receive 5000/- as the stipend each and every month. Along with that, they will get 6000/- for one time. Above all, the candidates will get the chance to gather work experience in famous companies.
